This panel discussion will focus on the lessons to be learned from ancient and modern traditions of land stewardship from an Indigenous perspective. Visiting artist Michael Namingha (Tewa/Hopi) will be joined by local tribal artists and representatives to talk about current issues and trends in land management and care. Elements about the “Indigenous Futurism” in arts and sciences will also be explored. Indigenous Futurism is a terminology that uses arts media like visual art, film, music and more to envision a sustainable world that absorbs lessons from the past, present and future.
