Tag: BlogArts & Culture

On October 24, community members, partners, art enthusiasts and members of the O’odham tribal community gathered in Downtown Tempe to celebrate the completion of Oidbad, a breathtaking 218-foot historical indigenous mural created by lead artists Thomas Breeze Marcus and Dwayne Manuel and help from Jordan Manuel, Eagle Sky Jefferson II, RJ Lopez, Suk Fulwilder & Yessenia, Allen Lewis, Aaron Rivers, and Douglas Miles. This new public artwork is not only a striking addition to our downtown but also a profound tribute to the history, culture, and resilience of the O’odham people and other Indigenous tribes.
