Let freedom reign in Downtown Tempe this Independence Day. We have the cool activities to match this heat so get you and your family out of the house and experience what Downtown Tempe has to offer this 4^th of July!

4th of July Event at Tempe Beach Park

Nothing makes more sense than heading to the beach on the 4th of July! Join the Kiwanis Club this year as they bring your favorite Independence Event to the shores of Tempe Town Lake. Get your tickets online for $5-$12 or $15 at the door.

Parking for the 4th of July event will be crowded, so it's best to go in with a plan, and while you're here see what more there is to Downtown Tempe in July!

Here’s the overview for Paid Public Parking:

• Beam on Farmer: $10 (CC only) A short walk and away from Beach Park and it keeps you away from the heaviest traffic area (Mill Avenue). Culinary Dropout is right on the way if you're looking for a pre-park hangout.
• Tempe Mission Palms Surface Lot: $10. Right next to the MUST SEE newly opened Devil's Hideaway (open 2pm on weekend’s). This new spot is 21+ and full of surprises and fun!
• Hayden Square Garage & Hayden Square West Surface Lot: $10. Both Hayden Square options are smack in the middle of everything. Take your pick of snacks and drinks from a Bangin' Sushi Brunch to good-times tacos.
• 201 Ash Garage: $10 (CC only). Lucky you being so close to the venue AND Loco Patron.
• Hayden Ferry Lakeside Parking Garage: $10 (CC only). Super short walk to the venue but restaurant concepts are still in the works here, never fear, Loco Patron is not too far away.

Get the Day Started by the Pool

If you want a way to keep cool before the 4pm event starts, extend your July 4^th activity and avoid the parking lot boogie altogether by staying within walking distance of the event! Check into one of our Downtown Tempe hotels like AC Hotel Phoenix Tempe/Downtown or Residence Inn by Marriott! As a guest at the hotels, they have an awesome pool you can use and get a nice tan while you’re at it. You can also get a day pass at Canopy or Omni for a quick cooling rooftop dip.

Cool Down with Cold Treats

After your splish' splashin' time (or before), take your pick of sweet tooth satisfying stops. Swing in to Shark Tank startup Crispy Cones for their 4th of July specialty STRAWBERRY flavor, the nostalgic and dependable Sparky’s Old Town Creamery or Slickables Ice Cream Sandwich for a sweet, cold treat. If the adults want something to slurp a little later, check out Taco Bell Cantina for some yummy food and an adult slushy or Fuzzy's Tacos for some tacos and 4th of July margs!
