Project Overview
This project is part of City of Tempe's "Refresh Tempe" initiative. This is the first major renovation in almost 40 years. The goal is to improve quality of life for everyone in Tempe by enhancing amenities and infrastructure through a phased (block by block) project that will bring exciting and much needed features over the next few years.
Construction Updates from Ally
Southbound Mill Avenue is closed to vehicular traffic from Fifth Street to University Drive for the Downtown Streetscape Improvement Project through August 8. While work hours are primarily between 2 a.m. and 4 p.m., intermittent restrictions will occur on Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh streets. Transit services will still operate, with some detours and temporary interruptions for the Streetcar.
