Placemaking
It's simple...a great place is one that offers a variety of things to do in one spot. These things can be very simple -- a place to sit, a playground to play in, a garden to enjoy, art to touch, music to hear, food to eat, history to experience, and people to meet. It is our goal to create a series of destinations that residents and visitors alike can enjoy.
We believe that every resident should have access to outstanding public spaces within walking distance of their own homes in order to enhance the quality of life in Downtown Tempe. In 2017, Downtown Tempe Authority will lead several placemaking initiatives. This page will serve as the "hub" for all placemaking information and opportunities in Downtown Tempe.
