The Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade is the Valley's most unique holiday event and celebrated tradition! Enjoy shopping at the holiday market, live entertainment, festive eats and treats from local vendors, write letters and take photos with Santa, a dazzling boat parade featuring boats of all shapes and sizes, and a spectacular fireworks show! This event is free and family-friendly.

As a new addition to this year's event, we're excited to offer two inflatable 30-foot screens for enhanced viewing of the Boat Parade! These screens will ensure that even more attendees can enjoy all the action, no matter where you are. A special thank you to our Presenting Sponsor, Tempe Tourism, for providing these fantastic additions!

EVENT SCHEDULE

4:00PM: Tempe Beach Park opens for holiday shopping, photos with Santa, 20 food and snack vendors, 3 beer and wine gardens, and live entertainment.

4:00PM - 7:00PM: DJ NASDAK on the main stage

4:00 PM - 9:00PM: Santa Photos & Letters to Santa

5:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Catch the Roaming Lighted Jugglers throughout the park

7:00PM: Parade Starts

8:00PM: Fireworks

8:15PM - 9:00PM: Performance from Gal Drimmer

9:00PM: Event Ends

Clear Bag Policy for the Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade

We're implementing a clear bag policy this year to ensure safety and enjoyment for everyone. Approved bags include clear bags (no larger than 11" x 6" x 12"), small clutches, fanny packs, and 1-gallon clear storage bags. Please note: Medical Bags will be allowed but are subject to search. Thanks for your understanding, and we look forward to celebrating with you on December 14 at Tempe Beach Park! Please see the Approved Clear Bag Types.

Getting to the event - Parking & Transportation Options

Downtown Tempe offers several parking options throughout the district, with many options close to Tempe Beach Park. In addition, alternative transportation options are always a great choice and include taking the Light Rail, hopping on the Tempe Street Car, or riding your bike to the event. Please be aware that there will be street closures, so plan accordingly!
