Tempe's Military Tribute Banner Program

To honor and celebrate veterans, active-duty military, and those preparing today to serve our nation tomorrow.

In partnership with the City of Tempe, Downtown Tempe Authority is proud to announce a new program to honor veterans and active-duty service members. This program provides an opportunity for community members, businesses, and organizations to honor our military heroes through printed banners installed on Downtown Tempe’s iconic lamp posts. 

How It Works:

Community members, businesses, or organizations can sponsor a banner to honor a service member in their life. The banner is customized with a name, photo, and service branch of a military service member. Downtown Tempe Authority is working with Military Tribute Banners to create and print these custom banners. All banners will be displayed in November 2024. We will take care of storing and hanging the banners. After November 2024, the banner will be available for to the purchaser to take home as a keepsake, or to be stored by DTA until the following year. 

Program Highlights

  • Displayed Fall 2024 (approximately October 21st - November 19th)
  • Full color double sided banner to hand on iconic downtown lamp posts.
  • Sponsor cost: $30 for existing banner (paid by check, cash or invoice from DTA by request).
  • New Sponsor cost: $135 for new banners (deadline September 25th).
  • Program can support a limited amount of banners participants and are awarded on a first come first served basis.

Honor a hero in your life by customizing a tribute banner with the photo and name of your hero. Orders are placed directly through Military Tribute Banners, who will work with you to customize your banner to the highest quality. Please note that payment must be received before design can begin. 

To hang banners in November 2024 please finish all tasks required in placing your order by September 29th, 2024.
