The jazz scene is abuzz about Los Angeles singer-pianist-Grammy-winning composer John Proulx. His piano playing is hot and swinging, and his voice recalls the smooth, mellow sounds of a young Chet Baker. In fact, Proulx's 2009 “Baker’s Dozen-Remembering Chet Baker” is a tribute.
Lakeshore Music is very pleased to present the John Proulx Quartet in the exquisite and intimate Lakeside Room at Tempe Center for the Arts. He will be joined by Bob Sheppard on sax, Kenny Wild on bass and drummer Dean Koba.
