ASU ART MUSEUM ANNOUNCES SUMMER EXHIBITIONS: “Chicano/a/x Prints and Graphics: Selections from the Hispanic Research Center’s Collection, 1980–2010” and “Spiraling, Twisting, Unraveling: Explorations in Pattern and Form” opening July 13
The ASU Art Museum is pleased to announce its summer exhibition season, opening to the public on Saturday, July 13. Encompassing gallery six on the museum’s ground level, “Chicano/a/x Prints and Graphics: Selections from the Hispanic Research Center’s Collection, 1980–2010” features over 30 artists, each offering a kaleidoscope of perspectives on the Mexican American experience through prints. Additionally, “Spiraling, Twisting, Unraveling: Explorations in Pattern and Form” occupies gallery five, filling the space with objects culled from the museum’s storied craft and ceramics collection. Together, these exhibitions explore contemporary approaches to meaning making, featuring under-recognized stories and art histories through prints and craft mediums.
