Tempe Checkpoints is a fun running "competition". Collect as many raffle tickets as you can in and around Downtown Tempe checkpoints listed on a surprise map (revealed day of) to win prizes and street cred! Stay after at The Shop for delicious beer, food, and awesome company.

How it works

• Arrive at The Shop Beer Co, 922 W 1st St, Tempe, AZ 85281, at 5:30pm and get checked in.
• Checkpoints Map revealed at 6:00pm.
  • If you sign up ahead of time, the map will get emailed to you at 4:30pm!
• Run to as many Checkpoints across Tempe as you can in an hour and collect raffle tickets at each one.
• Get back to The Shop by 7:00pm for the raffle!
• Win prizes and enjoy some beers and delicious food!
• Did we mention that it’s FREE to participate?

Some rules

• Obey all traffic laws as you run from Checkpoint to Checkpoint
  • There is no set route and we don’t close streets for this, so stick to the sidewalks, crosswalks, and follow all pedestrian traffic laws!
• No scooters, bikes, skateboards, or other “vehicles”
  • This is a running event! Get from Checkpoint to Checkpoint on your own two feet!
• Parking is tricky! Plan ahead!
  • There is street parking all around The Shop and a parking garage by Tempe Center for the Arts. Plan ahead and follow all posted parking rules! Ride-share is also highly encouraged!
• Have fun and be respectful!
  • This is a fun, social running event! Be courteous and kind to all your fellow runners and humans throughout the event!
