Details
WHEN ALIENS FALL FROM THE SKY is the long awaited return to the stage of Tony Award winning poet, performance artist, and brand creative Lemon Andersen. Sancocho for the soul painstakingly prepared for the Latinx diaspora, ALIENS speaks truth to power of the unidentified, undocumented, unyielding. Shining light on the brightly saturated threads tightly woven throughout America’s small towns and booming metropolises, Lemon spits searing, insightful rhymes about the communities that are the bone marrow of our nation. A one man show influenced by the autobiographical monologues of Spalding Gray, ALIENS is a rally cry for the melting pot of Latinidad to speak and act on the identity crisis in America, and join in a collective path forward. Brown fisted, black skinned.
The commissioning of Lemon Andersen’s When Aliens Fall from the Sky is generously supported by Joan Cremin. Additional support for the performance and residency work of Lemon Andersen is generously sponsored by Jenny Norton and Bob Ramsey.
WHEN ALIENS FALL FROM THE SKY is directed and developed by Elise Thoron, and produced by Sozo Artists and Spitking Media.
