EVENTS
Get your friends, family, crew or squad together and volunteer at downtown events! There is always something happening downtown.
Tempe Festival of the Arts - a fun way to see the Festival from a different perspective, meet new people, and promote art in the community. Volunteering is a great way to serve the event and also the greater community, as well as being a source of enjoyment and pride. Meet a variety of people from all walks of life, see what happens behind the scenes, and, through your service, help make the event possible. The art festival happens twice a year: fall (first weekend in December) and spring (the last weekend in March). Click here for volunteer opportunities.
Holiday Parades - there are two holiday parades downtown. The Opening Night Parade happens on Mill Avenue the weekend after Thanksgiving with parade units lit up in lights to welcome the holiday season. The second holiday parade is the Boat Parade on Tempe Town Lake and happens the second week of December. Volunteers are needed to help stage the parade units, assist stage and live music acts and help the community usher in the holiday season. To volunteer, email events@downtowntempe.com
Foodie Strolls, concerts, Halloween Strolls, markets, street festivals - downtown events and activations happen all the time. If you are interested in volunteering, email events@downtowntempe.com
Other downtown events to get involved with include:
Tempe Healing Field (September)
Four Peaks Oktoberfest (October)
Arizona Aloha Festival (March)
Kiwanis Fourth of July (July)
